Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Review

The Galaxy Note 7, we can confidently say, is Samsung’s newer and improved version of the Galaxy S7 edge. It compromises between all the great features about the galaxy S7 and everything great about the Galaxy Note series. So, my first impression, this is another great and impressive phablet from the Korean giant that never ceased to impress with really cool innovations that made it in my opinion ahead of all phone companies out there.

Specs and features:

  • Octa-core processor : Snapdragon 820
  • 4GB RAM
  • 5.7-inch, quad-HD Super AMOLED display
  • 64GB internal storage
  • micro SD card slot expandable up 256GB
  • S-Pen: Added S Pen Note features but this time it is waterproof and improved again this year. It is more sensitive, supports 4,096 levels of pressure and only 0.7 mm thick designed to make it feels like a ballpoint pen.
  • Fingerprint and Iris scanner: Screen unlock.
  • USB-C
  • IP68 water resistance
  • Fast and wireless charging
  • 3,500 mAh battery
  • Premium material : Metal back and Gorilla Glass 5
  • 12MP camera, f1.7 aperture : Captures 4K Ultra HD with better performance at low light. Also dual pixel OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) enables really swift Auto-focus
  • 5MP front camera: A bit disappointing. The same as the S7 Edge and has not been improved.
  • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
  • Gif maker: Makes animated picture from any non-DRM video.
  • Edge UX
  • Iris: Recognizes users by their eye even if they are wearing glasses(Look at the phone to unlock it)

Let’s admit it, these are a whole lot of great features but many of them are already there in the Galaxy S7 Edge.
What makes it so special that one should toss extra cash for?

Here is a list of the standout features:

  • Bigger curved display 5.7 Inch: Makes it aesthetically pleasing and more lovely to look at
  • Gif maker: A new cool feature that uses the S-Pen and adds to the total efficiency of the device.
  • Edge UX: has been added with useful app, contact and location-based shortcuts.
  • Iris: This is actually the first phone to possess iris-scanning tech
  • Dual edge display adjusted.
  • USB-C
  • Curved glass on the back: Makes the phone grip feel better and look more symmetrical
  • Memo notes can be written straight on lock screen and you can pin it to the ‘Always on display’ mode.
  • New translate feature and magnifying.(using S Pen)
  • Secure folder: You can set up a folder to store files or even apps with restricted access that unlocks either with PIN or Iris.
  • Running on top of the latest version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow by TouchWiz. Cleaner and flatter than before.

  • Price: £749.00

If you are willing to trade off quite a bit of money over the Galaxy S7 in order to get all these added features then definitely go ahead because it is totally worth it.

Lunatik Taktik 360 for the iPhone 6s.

There have been plenty of rugged, protective iPhone cases over the years, but few are quite as hardcore as Lunatik's new Taktik 360 ($120). Taktik 360 provides full coverage of an iPhone 6/6s, and IP68 waterproof, dustproof protection. Lunatik claims the case can be submersed in two meters of water for up to one hour. Drop and impact protection almost goes without saying in this bulky case — Lunatik says the case endured drop testing above 4 feet. The front

Review: LaCie Porsche 2TB and 4TB Hard drive

LaCie, a widely known computer company that specializes mainly in external hard drives, was acquired by storage giant Seagate a few years ago, and has a cult following amongst Apple aficionados. That explains why the brand has the largest number of DAS (direct-attached storage) devices on Apple's online store.
